Revd Tim Hurd, Former Chaplain

Tim is a thirty-something Anglican Priest, Vicar of the church (All Saints) that shares the site with Selwyn. A former College resident, Tim’s role includes being Selwyn Chaplain, as well as working closely with the University Chaplaincy team. This role is public (leading five or six ‘College’ church services during the year), pastoral (available for conversation or support, assisting when residents are in difficulty or distress), and about presence – articulating the relationship the College continues to have with the Anglican Church.

He is engaged by the intersection of faith and social justice, culture and spirituality, and enjoys an eclectic array of music, with a penchant for British comedy. Tim is a composer of choral music, neglecter of a large garden, and devoted uncle.
