Favourite thing about the college?
The friendly, family-oriented environment.
What are you most proud of in life?
How my son Tasman has been nurtured and guided (through trial and error) to be become a fine young man
Five more things we should know?
- Born and bred in Dunedin, Otago
- Volunteer for Netball, Dunedin Chinese Garden, Dunedin I-Site, RWC
- Keen follower of sports i.e. Netball, Basketball, Tennis, Rugby, Cricket.
- Usually found at the movies on cheap Tuesdays (enjoying seeing the new 3D movies)
- Spending time with family and friends

The wonderful friendship I share with my wife, Esther

- Favourite spot in Dunedin - Victory Beach (Otago Peninsula's best kept secret)
- I eat fish and chips, not fush and chups!
- My dog has his own life jacket
- My oldest and best friends all stem from days living in a university hall of residence
- I once won lotto: Yeah Right.

Favourite thing about the college?
Getting to know the different characters and personalities of the residents and making them feel comfortable and safe
What are you most proud of in life?
My adorable baby Hollie, who is six months old

- Travelled for 10 years around the world
- Played rugby in Australia, Ireland, UK, Sweden
- I enjoy chilling out in Clyde, central Otago with my wife Jackie and family
- I own a black labrador Tyson
- I am a Southern Rugby Club supporter and coach

The great bunch of people who work here.
What are you most proud of in life?
My drive, ambition, and passion for what I love to do.

- Migrated to NZ from South Africa in early 2008
- I'm a direct, honest and open person — like to call a spade a spade!
- Fanatical animal lover

Mark Bardwell, Property Manager
How long have you been at Selwyn?
Since June 2009.
Favourite thing about the college?
It's 300m from KFC.
What are you most proud of in life?
The 120mm long lamb chop sideburns I sported when I was 24yrs old.
Five more things we should know?
- Spent two years living on Niue Island
- I hate cleaning spa pool filters
- Own a pair of hand made texas cowboy boots... (but I only wear them in the spa)
- Status Quo is my favourite band
- I have never watched an episode of Oprah

How long have you been at Selwyn?
Since 1990.
Favourite thing about the college?
Seeing all the students arrive as first years, and enter into the family life of Selwyn.
What are you most proud of in life?
Seeing my sons prosper in the world, and my grandson Max.

- I play golf at Chisholm Park
- Enjoy watching rugby (and most other sports)
