Sandra Sutherland, PA to the Warden
How long have you been at Selwyn?
Since 2003.
Favourite thing about the college?
The students, although they stay the same age (18-21) and I'm getting older.
What are you most proud of in life?
Reaching personal goals.
Five more things we should know?
- Horse rider since ten years of age
- Like playing XBox 360 and Playstation
- My husband, Pascal, is a train driver
- I have two daughters, Emma and Laura
- Welsh roots!

Favourite thing about the college?
Its sense of community.
What are you most proud of in life?
Family: my wife Joy, my daughter Jan (completing her Masters in Film) and my son Logan (Curator at Dublin Art Gallery)

- Retired as Diocesan Registrar
- Lay Canon of St Paul's Cathedral
- Passion for fly fishing
- Strong association with Scotland, having lived there and married a Scot
- Eternally optimistic!

How long have you been at Selwyn?
Since 2006.
Favourite thing about the college?
Its residents — and watching them grow up so much during the year or two that they are living here.
What are you most proud of in life?
5 years running security on board cruise ships.

- My goal is for all college residents to feel safe and able to get a good night's sleep
- I own a company, Security at Sea
- Logistics manager for a tour company
- Over 20 years in the security industry
- Darts player — national championships in three different countries and represented NSW in 1996
Adele Spies, Food Service Manager

Since 2008.
Favourite thing about the college?
All the people I work with: colleagues, management and Warden.
What are you most proud of in life?
My awesome husband and our healthy marriage.

- Migrated to NZ from South Africa in early 2008
- I'm a direct, honest and open person — like to call a spade a spade!
- Fanatical animal lover

Mark Bardwell, Property Manager

Its people.
What are you most proud of in life?
Eating an entire family bucket of KFC to myself in two sittings.

- Lived on Niue Island for two years
- Just bought a new windsurfer
- Favourite food: KFC (if you hadn't guessed)
- Love snowboarding
- Once carried a prize-winning shark to a weigh-in using the roof of my car

How long have you been at Selwyn?
19 years.
Favourite thing about the college?
Seeing all the students arrive as first years, and enter into the family life of Selwyn.
What are you most proud of in life?
Seeing my boys prosper in the world.
